After the C Scale:
Now that you have mastered the C Scale on the A and B strings. Lets discover some new Scales in different Keys.
For the most part an din general. You will probably never comes across a song that has more than 3 sharps or 2 flats.
So that reduces the amount to memorize a 10 fold.
Sharp order: F C G D
Flat order: B E
Key order C G D A with sharps: 1 2 3 4
Key order or flats: F Bb
Now that you truly know the C Scale well and can find all he natural notes on the fretboard, No? hmm. Okay. The G Scale . A highly used Key in Old, new, classical and rhythm rock.
You already know 85% of the G scale. There is only one difference. And because you got here with a Pattern your mind is going to move your finger for you. E to F is now a Whole step.

What that looks like. Only use this as a tool to learn the fretboard. Don’t memorize the pattern and not the notes. You can start this same 3 note progression on any Root note on the E (6th string) to learn the notes of any Key.
